Flint facing big task of tackling league leaders The New SaintsLEE FOWLER is under no illusion about the task facing Flint Town United tonight but he is heartened by his side’s performance in the clash against The New Saints earlier in the season. “There were lots of positives within the game. “We made key mistakes after we got it back to 3-2; it wasn’t even good play from TNS, it was our fault and the scoreline didn’t really reflect the game. “I am not naive, I know the gulf in finances and quality between TNS and 90 per cent of the teams in the league. “But we go into every game trying to win it. ” Third bottom Flint’s four-game losing streak in the top-flight came to an end last weekend when they drew 1-1 at home to Cardiff Met. Unhappy with the decision that allowed the visitors to take the lead from the penalty spot, Fowler was pleased with Brandon Diau’s late leveller and felt his side could have gone on to win. “The goal was a shambles in terms of the referee’s decision, ” said Fowler. “They didn’t create another chance other than the penalty the referee gave them.
